anaglyphs are so much fun

I've been trying to get anaglyphs to work. They're a little more complicated then I was expecting when I started out, but once you get used to them they're not too bad! The plan is to screen print some extra large anaglyphs of Dublin city, and I've got some glasses on the way so I'll be able to do some smaller prints too. The trick, I reckon, will be getting the ink the right colour...

Alternatively, I could just get them printed on the fancy large scale printers in college, which I did with this image:

Flickr and I are having some disagreements. I can no longer see any of my images. Rather then try and solve this problem like any normal lateral thinker, I have instead shifted all my pictures over to Picasa. What this means is that I've had to remove a few entries and can't be bother putting them back up. No big loss, the world will keep on turning.

This week has been both incredibly frustrating and incredibly AMAZING. Starting with the frustrating, I don't seem to be able to sit down and do any work. And the AMAZING:

On Monday we went to the best Amanda Palmer show ever in the Sugerclub.

On Tuesday we went to a signing in Chapters Bookshop by Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer (my FAVOURITE in each of their respective professions). Amanda sang and Neil read stories about killing her (I liked the one where she's a Terminator best). I gave them both pictures I'd drawn for them and Neil drew a picture of himself in my American Gods. It Was The Best Day Ever.

Ah there we go! A nice little journal for a nice little school year.

Cary, that dear gentleman above you, will be holding down the fort for now. Thats him over there too, tipping his hat to you. What a charmer.

You may well be seeing more from him and his friends over the next little while or you may be seeing something completely different.

This journal will be a place for art school ramblings, projects I'm doing, things I'm making and all the stuff that distracts me, art wise.
